Helping Aspiring Entrepreneurs Launch Their Business
How I was able to help a local restoration company launch their business online.

Right before the holidays, I received an inquiry to help a local restoration contractor launch his business online. This individual (James) has been working in the restoration industry for the past five years. Over the last few months, however, he wanted to try his hand at entrepreneurship and create his own venture.
James reached out to me and expressed his interest in creating his own company, but mentioned that he did not know where to begin.
We scheduled a short introductory call to better understand his aspirations and landed on the following deliverables to help him establish his company online and build his customer base.
Website: The first step for any aspiring business owner is the creation of a professional website. In today's day and age, business is done online. The ability to have potential customers find your business through search engines is paramount.
James wanted a simple website that he could point customers and prospects to so that they could easily find information on the services he offers, as well as promote his services through social media channels.
Logo + Domain: In conjunction with the creation of a website, James needed a professional logo that represented his brand, and a domain that was memorable and easy to type. I was able to provide him with ten or so options for both logos and domains and allowed him to choose which option he liked best.
Business Cards: In a digital age, business cards might seem like a thing of the past. That is the furthest thing from the truth. Business cards help you establish yourself as reputable and provide customers with all of the information needed to reach you in a single place.
We created a design for the business cards and had them shipped to James's house. James was able to share these business cards with friends and family and encouraged them to share with their friends as well.
Google Business Account: Google is the leading search engine in the United States. Every day, millions of Americans are searching for recommendations on businesses that can fulfill their needs. In James's case, the restoration industry provides services that people search for in times of emergency. When a pipe bursts or a fire takes over, the damage only gets worse over time.
Having his business listed on Google provides his company with the opportunity to be found by anyone searching 'restoration services in my area'.
Professional Email: James wanted to be able to separate his work life from his personal life. We opted for a professional email that allows him to create multiple accounts for various aspects of his business and also add additional accounts for new employees in the event that he hires someone.
Having the ability to create (finance@mycompany.com) or (support@mycompany.com) helps business owners separate the various functions of their business while also looking more professional.
Lead Capture: On his website, we opted to create lead forms that automatically notify James of any customers who want to work with him. Once a customer fills out the form on his website, James receives an automated email with all of the customer's contact details and a brief description of the services provided.
In Sum: The website I created for James served as a home base for his business. Any traffic coming from Google, social media, or word-of-mouth would point people to his website. From here they could understand the services he offers and submit a form to work with him.
These few simple things go a long way when it comes to establishing your business. For many business owners, learning to create a website, build graphic designs, and manage IT systems seems like a daunting task.
My goal is to help business owners focus on their mission and carry out these daunting tasks for them.
